For this Wednesday’s “Wednesday Life Teen Link of the Week” Life Teen SMASH’s Tim Habeeb sat down with Mike Habeeb to show him one of his favorite YouTube channels. Their conversation is below.
Tim Habeeb: Hey, Mike! You’re going to love this Wednesday’s Life Teen Link of the Week!
Mike Habeeb: Oh boy, what is it?
TH: I’ll give you a hint. It has to do with one of my favorite…
MH: Life Teen?
TH: No. It has to do with one of my favorite…
MH: Legos?
TH: No. It has to do with one of my favorite…
MH: Hold it right there! Tim, we are not going to do this again.
TH: What do you mean? Do what?
MH: Don’t play dumb with me. You know very well that this is exactly how we introduced last week’s link.
TH: Right. Sorry.
MH: So, what is this week’s link then?
TH: I can’t tell you.
MH: Why not?
TH: Because you didn’t guess it.
MH: Tim…
TH: Sorry, brother. I can’t tell you unless you guess.
MH: TELL ME, OR ELSE!
TH: Well that’s not very “positive and encouraging.”
MH: What did you say?
TH: I said, “That’s not very ‘positive and encouraging.’”
MH: I know. I heard you. I meant, why did you put it in quotes?
TH: Oh, that… It kind of relates to the link. I would tell you, but…
MH: JUST TELL ME THE STUPID LINK, TIM!
TH: …
MH: TIM!
TH: First you have to apologize.
MH: APOLOGIZE?!
TH: Yes, you have to apologize. You yelled at me and made a very empty threat.
MH: I didn’t make any empty threats! “OR ELSE” isn’t even a threat! But fine… I’m sorry. Are you happy now?
TH: Yes, much better. You also called this week’s link stupid, and
K-LOVE is anything but stupid.
TH: Well, young Michael, K-LOVE is a Christian radio station in the United States that is broadcasted on over 440 FM stations in 47 different states.
MH: I’ve never heard it in the Boston area before, though?
TH: I know… It’s a touchy subject. I’m working on it. Seriously, I am drafting a letter to them right now requesting that they extend their coverage.
MH: Good for you, Tim… But how are all of our friends at Life Teen SMASH supposed to listen in the meantime? (he asked knowingly)
TH: Well, little known fact: K-LOVE is the sixth-most online-streamed radio station in the world!
MH: Very funny, Tim. Quit making stuff up.
TH: No, I’m not making it up, I swear! I saw it on
Wikipedia! Plus, you can listen in on the iHeartRadio app and the K-LOVE app. In fact, I just downloaded the K-LOVE app earlier today, and it’s great!
MH: Wow, well that’s pretty cool then! So what do they have on their YouTube channel?
TH: My favorite part is the live acoustic sessions from various Christian artists. I don’t know if you know this about me, Mike, but I love Christian music. Seriously, other than Billy Joel, it is just about all I listen to. Well, for the most part. But K-LOVE has some WICKED AWESOME music!
MH: As a matter of fact, I
did know that about you. Do you have any favorite K-LOVE videos?
TH: I thought you would never ask! This one of Crowder singing “How He Loves” is definitely my favorite.
TH: It sure is. Plus, it brings back some memories of the 2013 Red Sox season. You know, with all those beards and everything. David Crowder could give Johnny Gomes or Mike Napoli a run for their money.
MH: Yeah, are you sure that wasn’t just a lumberjack impersonating David Crowder?
TH: Nope. I’m not really sure at all. But if that’s a lumberjack, then he sounds an awful lot like David Crowder… or maybe David Crowder just sounds an awful lot like a lumberjack… Anyway, do you have a favorite video?
MH: Well, I’m tempted to say the one where
the host asks Crowder to help him grow a beard and he gives him a beard-growing tonic which is basically just poison so that he can take his spot on the air and play all his own songs, but really that’s just because I can’t get enough of that beard.
TH: Right? It’s awesome. So what
is your favorite?
